Hey amanda, great take ofn the challenge, I especially like your little 'Art Nouveau' designs on your page, lovely bright layout, and a great submission from you..... even though you were way out of your comfort zone! Well done! - Shazza

Hi Shazza,
Here's my March LO.
I fell in love with this cute girl with a flower headband. I thought its so girly with her eyes that is so expressive. -- July Gaceta
July! This is a beaut Negative space page, perfect pic for this challenge. love the colors you choseand how you used your ribbon. Very impressive! - Shazza

I know its not your usual style but you did well! The whole idea of the challenges is to think differently about your normal way of scrapping, love how you added extra pic of yourself as embellies. Hey were all friends here, love that you are honest with yourself, its a big thing to have others read your hearfelt journaling and inner thoughts, Great sub! - Shazza
WOW! Another fantastic submission to share :)
Hi Shazza !Well Michelle, you've done well, the pp you chose for this is perfect as to are your flowers and little added embellies, wooden flourish is definately art nouveau, and such a gorgeous pic of your Oma. I love the font you used for 'Oma', you work is defiantly taking off :) - cheers shazza
Please find attached my LO for March - "My Beautiful Oma" (which I love),
and a photo of the Just Calls and Crops Prize for this month.
Art Nouveau is certainly a very distinct style. I'm not certain I have
created a "Muscha" masterpiece, but I have definitely captured elements of
the style ! I don't do a lot of girly girl or flowery LO's, so this is a
change for me.
Our first sub from newest DT member...
I just loved this picture, thought I would have trouble with it seeing I had to use a photo of me, but the picture came alive to me and I always do my journalling on the back of my layouts so Nate can see it later in life. I hope you like it, I really enjoyed the Art Nouveau style.
Melissa you have done justice to the art nouveau style, with your Fourishes and love your little flowered halo! Did you spray your doily in the L H/S top corner? it looks fab, and some nice little embellies to top it off - Shazza
Another Fabulous submission from........
Hi Shazza,
Here is my ARTastic submission for March. I just
loved the whole 'angelic' feel for the
Neo-Classical style and tried to re-create
this in my LO. From the moment
I saw the artwork - I could see a circular
doily motif! So I found a doily and
incorporated it into the LO to
achieve the circular style represented. The
little girl is Lisa H's DD. The scrolls at
the top of the LO are Everlasting Keepsakes
Framedangoes that I painted. Thanks for another
great challenge!
Cheers!
Shelee :)
I'm really impressed with you sub Shelee,
this really has the Muscha feel about it,
when I saw your art nouveau designs at the
top of your page I was so amazed, love the
idea of the doily and a divine pic of Lisa's
daughter, Well dome Shelee! lots of inspiration
here - Shazza
Here is our first submission for the month from....
From Tanya....here is my take on the month of march inspiration.
I decided to use a picture of myself in my wedding gown.
I love the new graphic 45 paper, and i thought that it was perfect for this layout.
I used old lace remanents and buttons i gathered during one of my thrift store outtings....i added handmade flowers from old sewing patterns and accented them with a pearl bead. i love the vintage-ness!!!!
Tanya, I have so much trouble trying to comment on your work as its just so awe inspiring, I'm just so impressed with your style and all these little things you add as embellishments are just so Fantabulous (I had to make up a great word !) Beautiful photo of you hun! keep up your fantastic work, i'm sure you are inspiring lots of our followers, thankyou - shazza

Meet our Guest DT for March.......
It's great to be Guest DT this month! It is my first ever guest DT position! I have been so excited since I have known about this.
I have been scrapping for a few years now, but hadn't really gotten into it until the beginning of 2009 when I started getting into forums as well. Since then I have been on two different design/creative teams, which I am still part of. I have been apart of many forums and challenge blogs as well.
Some other small details, i am 16 years old, currently in year 12 and doing my HSC, also whilst doing this I have a part time job.
I LOVE photography, I hope to do something with it after school.
I'm so excited about being Guest DT! (:

Here is our new DT member......
My name is Melissa, I am almost 42, was an accountant previous to having my little boy 3 years ago, I am now a Stay at home single mum, I have been scrapping since I was pregnant, I loved the idea of documenting Nate’s life and giving him an insight into what his mum was like also.
I just love everything about scrapbooking, cutting up those gorgeous papers (which only recently has become easier) I used to think I can’t cut this, but have realised I can most times get another piece later, my style is very hard to define, I sometimes love negative space and other times fill the page with embellishments, so I guess it must be a mood thing for me.
I found Shazza by blog hopping and was so glad I did, I love the out of the box thinking challenges here, been very surprised where the inspiration from these masterpieces comes from, not sure if it is the colours of the picture themselves.
I love following sketches but my mind wants to deviate from the sketch all the time, so I find they give me the motivation to start but not always comply with the sketch.
I have just had an acceptance with Scrapbook Creations so this is very exciting, my dreams have always been to be on a Design Team and be published, 2010 seems to have started wonderfully for me. I am so looking forward to being on the Design Team here, the inspiration I receive from all the wonderful entries and Design Team members is amazing, makes me want to start something right away when I see the layouts.
Please make Melissa welcome at ARTastic
Here a few of Mel's creations :)

At last you get to meet our new DT member.....
I began scrapbooking in college which is over 10 years ago. I have always loved all types of crafts growing up. One of my other interests as a child was the beginning of my love for photography. I remember always having my own camera that I always carried around. When you put those two things together, my love of scrapbooking was born.
Music has always played an integral part of my life whether it was for enjoyment, dancing, choreography, relaxation, or now inspiration. I have always had a love of art as well.
This is my 10th year of teaching kindergarten. Before becoming a school teacher, I taught dance for several years. Currently, I enjoy designing, teaching scrapbooking and creating scrapbook kits.

Here's a bit of information about Mary Cassatt
Mary Stevenson Cassatt (May 22, 1844 – June 14, 1926) (pronounced /kəˈsæt/) was an American painter and printmaker. She lived much of her adult life in France, where she first befriended Edgar Degas and later exhibited among the Impressionists.
Cassatt often created images of the social and private lives of women, with particular emphasis on the intimate bonds between mothers and children.
Cassatt was born in Allegheny City, Pennsylvania, which is now part of Pittsburgh. She was born into favorable circumstances: her father, Robert Simpson Cassat (later Cassatt), was a successful stockbroker and land speculator, and her mother, Katherine Kelso Johnston, came from a banking family. The ancestral name had been Cossart.[1] Cassatt was a distant cousin of artist Robert Henri.[2] Cassatt was one of seven children, of which two died in infancy. Her family moved eastward, first to Lancaster, Pennsylvania, then to the Philadelphia area, where she began schooling at age six.
Cassatt grew up in an environment that viewed travel as integral to education; she spent 5 years in Europe and visited many of the capitals, including London, Paris, and Berlin. While abroad she learned German and French and had her first lessons in drawing and music.[3] Her first exposure to French artists Ingres, Delacroix, Corot, and Courbet was likely at the Paris World’s Fair of 1855. Also exhibited at the exhibition were Degas and Pissarro, both of whom would be her future colleagues and mentors.[4]
Even though her family objected to her becoming a professional artist, Cassatt began studying painting at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, at the early age of fifteen.[5] Part of her parents' concern may have been Cassatt’s exposure to feminist ideas and the bohemian behavior of some of the male students. Although about 20% of the students were female, most viewed art as a socially valuable skill; few of them were determined, as Cassatt was, to make art their career.[6] She continued her studies during the years of the American Civil War. Among her fellow students was Thomas Eakins, later the controversial director of the Academy.
Impatient with the slow pace of instruction and the patronizing attitude of the male students and teachers, she decided to study the old masters on her own. She later said, “There was no teaching” at the Academy. Female students could not use live models (until somewhat later) and the principal training was primarily drawing from casts.

What is Magpie club?
Here's a bit about Tara and how she started her kit business :)
I am an English girl living in Colorado. My husband's work means
that we get to travel a lot and live in wonderful places, we did a
stint in Sydney when we first got married. I have been living in
America for nearly three years now and must say that I am loving it.
As soon as arrived I got the scrapbooking bug and became a bit of a
kit addict. One day I woke up with this amazing idea that I should
create scrapbook kits especially for English girls back home. So I
got busy and set up my little kit club. I launched it five months
ago and have been so blown away at the support I have received from
my fellow Americans that I haven't quite got round to letting the
girls back home know about me!!
There are so many kit clubs out there I had to make mine a little
different. I try to make a lot of the embellishments myself, I am
always on the hunt for unusual things that will make the kits unique,
(I spend hours on ebay and etsy and trawling the local charity
shops). I also like to split packs up, not many people want 20 or 30
pieces of the same thing. Finally I make sure that the kits have a
real mix up of products, products that I would actually like to use
myself. I offer two kits a month, a main kit which costs between $35-
$40 and a credit crunch kit which costs $12.50. The CC kit is
perfect for people who feel slightly overwhelmed with so many
products and only want to make a couple of pages a month.
In a nutshell, I have three children five and under, I have two black
labs, I love to cook, I blog every week day,
(www.magpieclub.blogspot.com) and of course I love to scrapbook!!
Ladies, if there is anyone interested in ordering some of Tara's kits maybe we could buddy up to reduce postage costs. If say three or four of us got together had them shipped (Could be $18 but would get Tara to check ) and then we can disperse them to each other from one location....would turn out a lot cheaper :) If anyone is interested please let me know :)
